BET awards close streets this weekend
There will be street closures and parking restrictions this weekend downtown in the area of E and 12th streets as the BET Honors take place. The awards ceremony will include television filming. The following streets and sidewalks will be closed:
· E Street, NW and sidewalks between 12th Street and 13th Street, from 12 am on Saturday, January 15 until 6 am Sunday January 16
· 13th Street, NW and sidewalks between Pennsylvania Avenue and F Street, from 6 am Saturday, January 15 until 2 am Sunday, January 16
· North curb lane of Pennsylvania Avenue, NW between 12th and 13th Streets, from 6 am Saturday, January 15 until 2 am Sunday, January 16
· Pennsylvania Avenue, NW between 12th Street and 14th Street, from 12 pm on Saturday, January 15 until 2 am Sunday, January 16
·
North and south curb lanes of Pennsylvania Avenue/E Street, NW between 13th Street and 14th Street, from 12 pm on Saturday, January 15 until 2 am Sunday, January 16
· South curb lane of F Street, NW between 12th Street and 13th Street, from 12 pm on Saturday, January 15 until 2 am Sunday, January 16
· 12th Street, NW between Constitution Avenue and E Street, from 12 pm on Saturday, January 15 until 2 am on Sunday, January 16
These parking restrictions will be in effect:
· East and west curb lanes of 12th Street, NW between E Street and F Street, from 12 am Wednesday, January 12 until 6 am Sunday, January 16
· East curb lane of 13th Street, NW between E and F Street, from 12 am Thursday, January 13 until 6 am Sunday, January 16
· North curb lane of E Street, NW between 12th Street and 13th Street, from 12 am Thursday, January 13 until 6 am Sunday, January 16
