Some icy roads possible this A.M.

8:40 A.M. UPDATE:

There are some delays on I-395 North as you approach the 14th Street Bridge as well as approaching Duke Street.

The debris on I-270 South at the Beltway is still blocking both shoulders.

A person was killed Friday morning after apparently jumping or falling from a 10 story building in the 1200 block of M Street in Northwest Washington, reports Matt Zapotosky. There don't appear to be significant traffic issues (i.e. lane closures), but emergency personnel could still be on the scene and their vehicles could cause traffic problems around 12th and M streets. Avoid that area near Thomas Circle right now if you can help it.

Police are looking into hit-and-runs in Alexandria and Silver Spring.

8:15 A.M. UPDATE:

The utility problem on U.S. 301 at Pennsylvania Avenue/MD 4 has been cleared up, and the road reopened.

8:10 A.M. UPDATE:

A utility problem has closed southbound U.S. 301 at Pennsylvania Avenue/MD 4 in Upper Marlboro.

The inner loop lanes have reopened at New Hampshire Avenue.

7:40 A.M. UPDATE:

An accident on the inner loop of the Beltway at New Hampshire Avenue is blocking two lanes and one of the shoulders.

The debris on I-270 South at the Beltway is blocking both shoulders.

There's a disabled vehicle on I-270 South at Shady Grove Road.

7:15 A.M. UPDATE:

There's debris in the road on I-270 South at the Beltway, and it's blocking one of the shoulders.

I-395 North is jammed up at Duke Street in Virginia, which could lead to congestion around the Springfield Interchange and roads heading there.

6:50 A.M. UPDATE:

The tractor trailer accident on Anderson Road near Chain Bridge Road in McLean is still blocking the through lanes and shoulders in both directions. This is just off of where Route 123 hits the Dulles Toll Road, so there will be issues in the surrounding area.

6:35 A.M. UPDATE:

The debris has been cleared from the inner loop of the Beltway to the north of the Wilson Bridge in Maryland.

A disabled vehicle is blocking the left shoulder on I-95 South just north of Woodbridge, while an accident is blocking the right shoulder in the same vicinity. Expect some southbound issues approaching Woodbridge.

6:15 A.M. UPDATE:

The right lane of northbound Colesville Road/U.S. 29 has reopened in Silver Spring.

ORIGINAL POST:

A light dusting of snow early this morning won't lead to much white stuff on the ground, but it could lead to slick spots on some roads and sidewalks during this morning's commute. Exercise caution whether you're driving, walking or biking. And remember that there might be some delays caused by the frost. Check back with this blog throughout the morning for updates on traffic issues during your commute.

An accident on Colesville Road/U.S. 29 before Lorain Avenue in Silver Spring is blocking one northbound lane and one of the shoulders.

There's also some debris in the road on the inner loop of the Beltway to the north of the Wilson Bridge in Maryland.

In Virginia, a tractor trailer accident on Anderson Road near Chain Bridge Road in McLean is blocking the through lanes and shoulders in both directions. This is just off of where Route 123 hits the Dulles Toll Road, so expect some issues in that vicinity.
