By Mark Berman

9 A.M. UPDATE:

I-395 North remains clogged up at the 14th Street Bridge.

I-66 East is backed up at the Teddy Roosevelt Bridge and as you approach the Beltway.

There's a disabled vehicle on 1st Street and Rhode Island Avenue in Northwest Washington.

An accident on the outer loop of the Beltway at the exit for Annapolis Road could slow traffic in that spot.

The accident on I-270 South before Shady Grove Road has been cleared.

8:30 A.M. UPDATE:

An accident on I-270 South before Shady Grove Road is blocking one local lane and one of the shoulders.

I-66 East is backed up approaching the Beltway, while the inner loop of the Beltway is, as usual, slow at I-66.

I-395 North is still very snarled around the 14th Street Bridge.

There's an accident on Missouri Avenue and North Capitol Street, which could cause problems near that intersection.

8 A.M. UPDATE:

I-395 North is pretty snarled around the 14th Street Bridge and Seminary Road.

There's an accident on 34th Street and Wisconsin Avenue in Northwest.

The traffic signals are reportedly flashing at East Capitol Street and Massachusetts Avenue next to Lincoln Park.

The disabled vehicles on the 11th and 14th Street Bridges have been cleared.

7:40 A.M. UPDATE:

An accident on N. Capitol Street and Riggs Road in Northeast Washington could snarl traffic, while an accident on Minnesota Avenue and Nash Street in Northeast could also cause problems.

7:25 A.M. UPDATE:

The inner loop of the Beltway is very, very slow around Telegraph Road, so expect congestion near Alexandria.

An accident in the 2400 block of Good Hope Road in Southeast Washington could cause headaches in that area.

7:20 A.M. UPDATE:

K Street has reopened at North Capitol Street and the accident at that intersection has been cleared.

7:10 A.M. UPDATE:

There's a disabled vehicle on the southbound side of the 14th Street Bridge. Traffic actually doesn't look particularly slow in that direction, while northbound traffic is crawling as you leave Virginia.

Traffic signals are reportedly flashing at 4th and M streets in Southwest Washington.

7 A.M. UPDATE:

The earlier accident on I-66 East at the Dulles Toll Road has been cleared and the lane reopened. I-66 East is still pretty jammed up around the Beltway.

6:45 A.M. UPDATE:

An two-car accident at the intersection of North Capitol and K streets in Northeast is snarling traffic in that vicinity. K Street is blocked between 1st and North Capitol streets. Avoid the area.

There's also reportedly a disabled vehicle on the 11th Street Bridge, though the direction and placement is unknown at this time.

6:30 A.M. UPDATE:

There's an accident at N. Capitol Street and K Street, and K Street is closed in both directions in Northeast Washington.

An accident on I-66 East at the Dulles Toll Road is blocking the left lane and causing backups.

The I-95 North accidents in Triangle have been cleared and the lanes reopened.

6:15 A.M. UPDATE:

I-66 East is very congested at the Beltway right now.

There's also a medical emergency at 35th Street and Whitehaven Parkway in Northwest Washington.
