Emergency landing at Dulles
9 a.m. Update: A Continental Airlines flight that took off from Reagan National Airport has been diverted to Dulles International Airport after a mechanical problem.
Airports spokeswoman Tara Hamilton says Flight 1559 left Reagan National Airport about 8 a.m. Monday bound for Houston. But it was quickly diverted and made a safe landing at Dulles Airport.
Hamilton says they have not determined what caused the problem.
A call placed to Houston-based Continental Airlines was not immediately returned.
