Major VRE delays, Metro Option open

By Mark Berman

8:57 A.M. UPDATE:

VRE train 312 is now moving and running 65 minutes late. The next station is Brooke.

ORIGINAL POST:

After major delays for riders on VRE's Fredericksburg Line this morning, the Metro Option has been opened. Just show your VRE ticket for access to the Metro.

VRE train 312 is 50 minutes late and counting due to equipment problems. It is stopped south of Brooke, but there is also a speed restriction north of Brooke that will add additional delays when it moves. Amtrak train 176 is at Quantico and will make all of the VRE stops with no Step-Up needed.
