Restrictions on Bay Bridge
Capital Weather Gang | Flight delays | Report power outages | Traffic
The Maryland Transportation Authority is restricting some traffic across the Bay Bridge due to high winds reaching nearly 50 mph.
Wind restrictions went into effect Friday afternoon, and officials warn that travel delays are possible. The restrictions affect some vehicles with trailers, campers or recreational vehicles.
Police will help turn around some of those vehicles that aren't allowed to cross the bridge.
In addition, authorities say they will not allow two-way traffic on the bridge until the winds subside.
