Sligo Creek Pkwy. reopens

By Washington Post Editors

7:24 p.m. Update: Sligo Creek Parkway has reopened, according to traffic reproting services.

Original post: Sligo Creek Parkway is closed between Maple Avenue and Old Carroll Avenue due to concrete falling from an overpass, WUSA is reporting.

The report says that the Maryland State Highway Administration has been notified of the problem. The bridge carries Carroll Avenue (Maryland Route 195) across Sligo Creek and the parkway.

Traffic reporting services say delays are running 30 minutes.
