Inner loop lane blocked in MD

By Mark Berman

8:50 A.M. UPDATE:

One inner loop lane is blocked by debris on the Maryland side of the American Legion Bridge.

8:20 A.M. UPDATE:

I-66 East is snarled at the Beltway, while I-395 North is also very, very slow approaching the District.

There's debris on I-270 North at Clarksburg Road that could slow northbound traffic.

7:50 A.M. UPDATE:

The southbound lane of I-95 in Baltimore's Fort McHenry tunnel has reopened after an accident blocked it for a while this morning.

The right off-ramp on the outer loop of the Beltway at Pennsylvania Avenue has also reopened.

7:25 A.M. UPDATE:

An accident on the outer loop of the Beltway is blocking the right off-ramp at Pennsylvania Avenue.

The disabled vehicle has been cleared from Baltimore's Fort McHenry tunnel and that lane reopened, but one southbound lane of I-95 remains blocked by an accident.

There are still delays on I-95 North (in Woodbridge and to the north of that) and I-395 North (which is now jammed up around the 14th Street Bridge. The inner loop traffic around Gallows Road appears to have eased for now.

I-66 East is also pretty slow as you approach the Beltway, which presumably will get worse as the morning goes on.

7:05 A.M. UPDATE:

There are two situations in Baltimore's Fort McHenry tunnel causing problems on I-95 South. An accident is blocking one southbound lane, while a disabled vehicle is blocking another one.

6:50 A.M. UPDATE:

I-395 North is congested around Seminary Road and a few points between that exit and the Springfield Interchange. Expect delays if you're getting on the roadway early.

The inner loop of the Beltway also has some backups near Gallows Road. I-95 North is still backed up at Woodbridge and around the Fairfax County Parkway.

6:30 A.M. UPDATE:

I-95 North is pretty heavily backed up near the Fairfax County Parkway and again in Woodbridge.

6:10 A.M. UPDATE:

There was a disabled vehicle on the outer loop of the Beltway at Arlington Boulevard, but it has been cleared up. Still, there might some residual delays around that spot.
