Outer Loop lane blocked in MD
9 A.M. UPDATE:
One lane on the outer loop of the Beltway remains blocked by a disabled vehicle at Colesville Road.
The disabled vehicle on I-95 South before Powder Mill Road is still blocking one lane and one of the shoulders.
There's a disabled vehicle on Michigan Avenue and Bunker Hill Road in Northeast Washington.
There's an accident reportedly involving a Metrobus and another vehicle at 23rd and F streets in Northwest Washington, according to the District Department of Transportation.
8:35 A.M. UPDATE:
The accident on I-395 South after Washington Boulevard has been cleared, but delays remain.
All outer loop lanes are now open in Virginia. I-395 North is pretty snarled at the 14th Street Bridge, while the outer loop of the Beltway is still slow near the Springfield Interchange after this morning's earlier lane closures.
In Maryland, the outer loop lane remains blocked by a disabled vehicle at Colesville Road.
There's an accident on I-270 South between Father Hurley Boulevard and Germantown Road.
8:20 A.M. UPDATE:
The D.C. Fire Department is investigating a fire on the 1300 block of Connecticut Avenue in Northwest. Smoke has been reported on the first floor of the building in a restaurant, possibly due to a grease fire in a kitchen. Avoid the area, as traffic will be snarled.
8:15 A.M. UPDATE:
The accident on I-395 South after Washington Boulevard is now blocking the left lane and left shoulder, which should only exacerbate delays in that area.

The disabled vehicle on the outer loop of the Beltway before New Hampshire Avenue has been cleared.
There's also a disabled vehicle on I-95 South before Powder Mill Road blocking one lane and one of the shoulders.
An accident on I-395 South after Washington Boulevard is blocking the shoulder, but it's causing significant backups; this could cause problems for travelers taking the 14th Street Bridge into Virginia.
7:35 A.M. UPDATE:
The roads are already wet this morning, and this shouldn't help: An accident at 9th and N streets in Northwest Washington reportedly knocked over a fire hydrant, according to D.C. Fire. Expect road closures and blockages in the area and avoid this spot if you can.
There's also a disabled vehicle on the outer loop of the Beltway before New Hampshire Avenue, which could cause some delays.
7:25 A.M. UPDATE:
The inner loop of the Beltway is pretty slow approaching Arlington Boulevard right now.
7:15 A.M. UPDATE:
The tractor trailer accident on I-95 South at Dale Boulevard has been cleared and the lanes reopened.
The disabled vehicle on the outer loop of the Beltway just east of the Springfield Interchange is still blocking the right lane, and there are considerable backups at that spot.
6:50 A.M. UPDATE:
A disabled vehicle on the outer loop of the Beltway just east of the Springfield Interchange is blocking the right lane.
There are some delays on I-395 North around Seminary Road and again as you approach Washington Boulevard.
6:35 A.M. UPDATE:
It's raining in the Washington area right now, so expect to experience some delays when you head out this morning. Slippery and slick roads and sidewalks will be an issue now, which will be followed by the wind gusts later.
