Flooding around the region

Here is a list of some of the flooded areas and road closings around the region. Share other areas by posting a comment below.

-- Flooding on Beach Drive between Stoneybrook Drive and Old Spring Road in Kensington.
-- Canal Road lane restriction between Foxhall Road and Clark Place due to rock slide.
-- High standing water blocks two lanes of soutbound Connecticut Avenue at Macomb Street NW.
-- Downed tree blocking Fourth and D streets SE.
-- Hains Point is closed.
-- Water in the streets in Old Town Alexandria.
-- Rock Creek overflowing in some areas.
-- Route 450 closed in Gambrills, Md., from Huntwood Drive to St. Stephens Church Road due to flooding.
-- Right lane of U.S. Route 1 South at Joplin Road is flooded in Prince William County.
-- Additional roads in Prince William, Fauquier and Loudoun counties. Here is a map that links to the latest from the Virginia Department of Transportation.
-- Flash flood restrictions for the Virginia Railway Express Manassas Line. Expect delays. of up to an hour for final arrival to Broad Run.
-- Debris from large tree removed in the 1800 block of E Street in Northeast Washington.
-- Westbound Little River Turnpike at 495 is restricted to one lane due to high water.
-- Frederick County closures due to flooding:

Hornets Nest Road (between Friends Ln. & Riffle Rd.)
Creamery Road (between Md. Rt. 15 & Keysville Rd.)
Keysville Road (between Four Points Rd. & Sixes Rd.)
Simmons Road (between Keysville Rd. & Four Points Bridge Rd.)
Blacks Mill Road (between Md. Rt. 806 & Hessong Bridge Rd.)
Wilhide Road (between Blacks Mill Rd. & Angleberger Rd.)
Frushour Road (between Md. Rt. 77 & Hoovers Mill Rd.)
Hoovers Mill Road (between Frushour Rd. & Md. Rt. 77)
Hessong Bridge Road (between Blue Mountain Rd. & Md. Rt. 550)
Old Frederick Road (between Old Mill Rd. & Md. Rt. 77)
Annandale Road (between Hampton Valley Rd. & Mountainview Rd.)
Orndorff Road (between Mud College Rd. & Old Frederick Rd.)
