Tech. problems plague Southwest
DALLAS -- Southwest Airlines says it has been dealing with technology problems that led to delayed flights and snarled its revamped frequent-flier program.
The airline says it suffered a 90-minute telecommunications outage Tuesday that delayed 300 flights by an average of 20 to 40 minutes.
An unrelated problem prevented customers from checking or using their accounts on the newly revamped Rapid Rewards frequent-flier program. A spokesman said the glitches were fixed overnight and that the program was working properly but slower than usual on Wednesday.
