Dr. Gridlock's mission

Dr. Gridlock and the Post's transportation team cover what's happening on the roads and rails, in the air and on the waterways around the Washington region. If it moves, we want to keep you informed about what's happening. Our goal is to warn you about the latest headaches that may affect your travels and projects that may affect your pocketbook.

We also realize that many of us are transients with interests in other places, so we'll provide news from around the region and the world that is interesting, useful or thought-provoking.

If you see something in your travels that we should share with other Washingtonians, please e-mail us at transportation@washpost.com, or directly contact one of the members of the transportation team.

You can also share your experiences on the transportation discussion group, Taken for a Ride.
