Firefighters are responding to reports of the odor of gas in the Georgia Avenue-Petworth Metro station, reported by transit police.

Red Line delays
There are delays on the Red line heading to Glenmont after a train malfunctioned earlier this morning at Van Ness. The train issue has been resolved, but the delays remain.

Man in wheelchair on tracks rescued
A man using a motorized wheelchair fell onto the tracks at Anacostia station last night at about 7:45, We Love DC reported.

HUD grant to benefit Metro Green Line
The federal government will provide local agencies with $800,000 to stimulate growth around four stations on the southern end of Metro's Green Line. The money is being awarded to the Maryland-National Park and Planning Commission and Prince George's County under the Department of Housing and Urban Development's Community Challenge Grant Program to help plan for transit-oriented development around Southern Avenue, Naylor Road, Suitland and Branch Avenue stations.
