Mont. Co expands pay-by-cell-parking
Montgomery County officials are expanding a program that allows users to add, or remove, time from a meter with their cellphones, The Gazette reports. After piloting the program in downtown Bethesda, the Montgomery County Department of Transportation has decided to open the option to all 12,000 meters in county parking districts, said Stephen Nash, chief of the division of parking management. The districts are in Bethesda, Silver Spring, Wheaton and Montgomery Hills.
