Donovan McNabb out for Redskins-Jets game

Redskins quarterback Donovan McNabb will not play Friday night against the New York Jets, Coach Mike Shanahan said.

Running back Mike Sellers also has been ruled out, Shanahan said. McNabb has not practiced this this week because of an ankle injury he suffered Saturday night. Shanahan added that McNabb would not have played had this been a regular-season game.

Redskins Insider has the details.

Comments

Would have been nice for McNabb to have one more half of play with the first team in almost-real competition, but I'd rather he be healthy for 9/12.
