Gilbert Arenas impresses in pickup game, Ted Leonsis says

Updated, 3:04 p.m.

There was a pick-up hoops game featuring certain NBA All-Stars Tuesday night at Verizon Center. Evidently, a certain All-Star named Arenas was there and was Chris Paul

Ted Leonsis, the owner of the Wizards, was there, too, and provided a scouting report (short on other names and stats and he kinda buried the lede, but we digress) on Ted's Take:

Last night there was a pick-up game played at Verizon Center on our practice court. There were many NBA players in attendance and a few NBA All-Stars played as well. I stumbled into watching purely by accident.
Gilbert Arenas played last night. It was a very good evening of basketball. Gil - our All-Star - matched up against another NBA All-Star. It was quite a show and quite a display of talent.
I won't comment yet on Gilbert or who was in the gym last night but suffice to say Gilbert looked trim, fit and explosive. His shot was sweet and he did one left handed dunk that was something to see. It had everyone talking. I was impressed and am happy.

Why do you doubt??

The dude had multiple knee surgeries & it takes time to completely heal & get the tendonitis/arthritis out of the knee. I expect a HUGE year from Arenas. He always seems to rise to the occasion when the doubters are out.

I think he's saying it's too soon re: the "explosive" comment as it relates to guns. Also, I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic.
