Shaq, Celtics close to a deal?

Shaquille O'Neal and the Boston Celtics are closing in on a one-year deal, according to the Boston Globe.

Frankly, those reports have been out there for a while now, since the days when this here blog was still cookin' in a Petri dish in a dingy laboratory.

But they're picking up steam everywhere now (via AOL Fanhouse, with other contributors cited as well) and Jimmy Kimmel asked O'Neal about the possibility of playing for the Celtics (Horrors! After playing for the Lakers! Kimmel = mind blown!) Tuesday night on "Jimmy Kimmel Live." The topic comes up after other important ones (like Shaq being dressed "like the night sky" and whether he can buy underwear off the rack) are exhausted, near the end of this clip.
