Jets Coach Rex Ryan is livin' large

New York Jets Coach Rex Ryan has devoured the New York Times magazine.

A feature that will appear Sunday spans 10 pages online as the newspaper finally brings attention to the New York Jets' overlooked and underpublicized coach. Here, distilled to is its very essence, is what you need to know about the story. There's a ton of talk about football. And life. And food. Frankly, the piece hooked me the moment it described a scene in which Ryan spilled a Sonic limeaid "the size of Topeka" on himself and hollered, "Oh, no! The dress sweats!"

Read it for Rex's pickup lines. Read it for the Xs and Os. Read it while you "go eat a bleep-bleep snack." Read it for the description of Ryan as "an immense man whose thick foothills of neck and haunch swell into a spectacular butte."

Well, okay. Don't read it for that. Just read it.
