Mike Vick starts, but report says Kolb will get the job next week
The beginning of the Mike Vick era in Philly may be the end, too. Fox's Tim Ryan reports that Eagles Coach Andy Reid has told quarterback Kevin Kolb (and Stewart Bradley) that they'll both be starting next. That puts a little extra pressure on Vick as he makes his first start since December 2006 today in Detroit. Both Kolb -- Fox's Jay Glazer reports he was cleared to play today -- and Bradley are out with concussions today.
Update: Vick led the Eagles on an 80-yard touchdown drive, hitting DeSean Jackson with a 45-yard scoring pass for a 7-0 lead in the first quarter. Can you say "quarterback controversy in Philly?" Jackson tossed the ball to Vick as a souvenir.
Later today, I'll be doing a 30-minute Redskins-Texans chat right after that game ends. Join me here. Until then ...
