Brett Favre investigation: Jenn Sterger hires lawyer

Updated at 1:53 p.m.

Discussions between Joseph Conway, the lawyer hired by Jenn Sterger, and NFL representatives have begun, but Conway told Newsday's Bob Glauber that no decision has been made about whether she will speak with the league as it investigates allegations that Brett Favre sent her inappropriate texts and photos in 2008.

Jenn Sterger, the woman who allegedly was on the receiving end of explicit texts and voice messages from Brett Favre, has hired a lawyer.

sterger.jpgSterger's manager, Phil Reese, said she has hired LaRusso and Conway, a Long Island law firm, to represent her. Joseph Conway said the firm will speak for her as the NFL investigation into Favre's behavior continues and will "pursue any potential remedies that may exist."

Favre met Tuesday with Milt Ahlerich, the NFL's vice president for security, as the league looks into allegations that Favre sent inappropriate voicemails and graphic photos to Sterger when he played for the Jets and she was a sideline reporter for the team in 2008. The NFL reportedly has not yet interviewed Sterger about the allegations.

Favre will speak to the media later today in Minnesota.

I'd have to be in heat to chase after her, and I'm never in heat anymore at my age ...

brett has a mother, wife, daughter and grandaughter and i wonder how he would react if any of them received unsolicited advances, especially from married men. in my part of the country we don't need lawyers to take care of this kind of conduct. if favre would just either flatly deny the allegations of the reporter and masseuses or apologize to his female relatives-without a kobe rock-and fans then this matter could go away. if he was stupid enough to do it-we said big ben was an immature kid, but a grandfather?-he should just pay the woman the extra 3 million he got since he said the holdout was not about more money anyway.

Watch out for the LaRusso firm. They may look like a small time firm but they are dangerous. If I were Favre I'd hire Lawrence, Cobra & Kai LLP

I don't know all the details of this particular situation -- I believe they're still being determined. But I think our culture/media is totally cluttered with these ridiculous soap operas instead of more important and/or interesting things:
