Knicks' game against Magic at Madison Square Garden is postponed

The New York Knicks' game against the Orlando Magic tonight at Madison Square Garden has been postponed because of an unplayable court and their next game, against the Wizards, may be in jeopardy as well.

During cleaning at the Garden, asbestos fell from the ceiling and MSG officials say they will not reopen the arena "out of an abundance of caution" until it is safe. The Wizards play Friday in the Garden. The Capitals play there early next week.

"Following last night's Rangers game, during overnight maintenance of Madison Square Garden, which included cleaning asbestos-related materials in the attic above the ceiling, some debris fell into the arena," Garden officials said in a statement.

No makeup date for the game has been announced.
