Poll: Will the Vikings beat the Redskins on Sunday?

By Cindy Boren

A change at the top worked for the Cowboys, who've won two games since Jason Garrett replaced Wade Phillips as head coach. Will it work for the 3-7 Vikings, who replaced Brad Childress with Leslie Frazier today? The team's first game under Frazier is against the Redskins on Sunday at FedEx Field.

(Matt Terl has details on the last time the Redskins played a team with an interim head coach in his first game.)

More:

@CindyBoren Yes, they should...at least as scared as you can be of a man named Leslie.less than a minute ago via web

@CindyBoren Yes, absolutely yes. See Garrett, Jason. #Redskins #Vikingsless than a minute ago via TweetDeck

@CindyBoren Yes, expect big effort from Vikings. They'd quit on Childress. See also: cowboys & Phillips, Wade vs. Garrett, Jason.less than a minute ago via web

@CindyBoren My question is....does Frazier have the stones to bench #Favre before or during the game on sunday if needed? #Redskins #Vikingsless than a minute ago via web

Favre should retire tommorrow and let Tavaris Jackson finish the season. End with dignity Brett we appreciate all you have done in this gameless than a minute ago via Twitter for Android

Cindy, you know I love ya but i really hate when commentators say this or that person--or in your case, the entire team-- "quit". It's also a gross exaggeration of the reality that, just because a team doesn't win, doesn't mean the players didn't try as hard as they could.

I hate LeBron James, but there is exactly 0.0% chance that he actually quit on his team in the playoffs last year. Yet you constantly hear people say he did just that.

Same goes for the above comment about the Vikings quitting on Childress. That is just nonsense Cindy and you are better than that! They lost games, they got beat bad, but that doesn't mean they didn't try their best.

I think that the Vikings need to bench or let farve go. I also think that the Vikings should put Webb at the helm instead of Jackson

I hope Frazier benches Favre before Orakpo ends the old man's career

Hey, I'm with Deion!

I mean, why wouldn't I listen to the sky-pointing fraud who only came to Washington to cash a check and limp off into "Reverend" land.

Deion is SUCH a dewsh.

Listen to him, Brett! Retire this week and let's see how Tomorrow's Jackson does. Hopefully for the Vikings, better than Yesterday's Jackson, because THAT guy stunk up the field.

Either way, Redskins aint lettin' the Philly Monday Nightmare happen again. Not on OUR field. You'd better believe it.

I'm betting my mortgage on the Redskins. Minnesota and that punk Deion can slurp long and hard on THIS

cumming victory.

Bet on it.

Skins DOMinate. No question. This will be a DEEstruction.

Now, turn to your pupil and ask Michael Irvin about THAT.

HOMEboy!

We cant link the Vikings chances with Dallas here. Dallas was and is a deeply talented team that got a huge motivational leader in garrett. And they did it at home.

No, the vikings may come out swinging but the battle weary skins are ready to stand up, take the punch, and keeo rolling forward. Skins win here. With no name players who believe.

As for Farve I have long dreamed about him playing at Fedex. Just not in purple. I hope Rak gets one good last clean hit on farve and sits him down. I don't want to see him Thiesman'd, just sat down for good. Thanks for the ride Brett- you have been amazing to watch. See you in the booth in 2012!
