Randy Moss' drama goes on in Minnesota as Brad Childress feels more heat

When Brett Favre is the quiet guy shunning the spotlight in the corner of your locker room, you've got a situation on your hands.

Randy Moss may or may not have been waived by the Minnesota Vikings on Monday. His coach said he was; his agent indicated he and Moss had been told as much. Players reportedly were told, too. But when the waiver wire deadline came at 4 p.m. (EDT), Moss' name was not on the list.

It seems that Vikings owner Ziggy Zygi Wilf was not informed of Coach Brad Childress' move.

Oops.

Now, another day of Minneapolis melodrama unfolds: Will Moss' name hit the waiver wire today? Will anyone take him? Will Childress continue to be employed? How's Favre feeling and what is he thinking?

The Moss waiver comes on the heels of a bizarre post-game press conference that Moss turned into a personal lovefest for the Patriots. And that came on the heels of a locker room tantrum Friday over catering (Really. Catering.) that may have alienated him from his teammates

Among other questions left to be resolved today: Can Childress right this party boat? Eighty percent of voters in a Star-Tribune poll said he should be fired immediately; nearly 12 percent said it was okay to wait 'til the end of the year.

Moss to the Redskins?

Mike Shanahan doesn't rule Moss out.

Talk about it in the Redskins Tailgate Zone.

I have great admiration for Randy Moss's skills. He is a definite HoFer. But is mouth bites him in the butt everytime. I never believed the rumors that the "fight" between he and Brady was the reason the Patriots dropped him. Moss just seems to wear out his welcome everywhere he goes. What he and Brady engaged in is fairly common trash talking between players to get one up on the other.

You were working as a receiver for the Patriots

When I met you
I picked you out
I shook you up
And turned you around
Turned you into someone new
Now five weeks later on
you've got the world at your feet
Success has been so easy for you
But don't forget
It's me who put you where you are now
And I can put you back down too

Don't, don't you want me
You know I can't believe it
When I hear that you won't see me
Don't, don't you want me
You know I don't believe you
When you say that you don't need me
It's much too late to find
You think you've changed your mind
You'd better change it back
Or we will both be sorry

Don't you want me, baby
Don't you want me, oh
Don't you want me, baby
Don't you want me, oh

I was working receiver for the Patriots
That much is true
But even then I knew I'd find
A much better place
Either with or without you
The five weeks we have had
Have been such good times
I still love you
But now I think it's time
I lived my life on my own
I guess it's just what I must do

Don't, don't you want me
You know I can't believe it
When I hear that you won't see me
Don't, don't you want me
You know I don't believe you
When you say that you don't need me
It's much too late to find
You think you've changed your mind
You'd better change it back
Or we will both be sorry

Don't you want me, baby
Don't you want me, oh
Don't you want me, baby
Don't you want me, oh

Childress simply need to bench Favre or allow Favre to retire during the season - because T.Jackson is ready to take over the team as QB...sitting behind Favre for a year - has prepared T.Jackson - let him out of the stable now, to save the season.

Too bad the legend Brett Farve can't play every position. Too bad so many jealous people out there can't see greatness without ridicule.
