Randy Moss waived by Minnesota Vikings

Randy Moss has been waived by the Minnesota Vikings.

The move, initially reported by the NFL Network, has been confirmed by Vikings players. It comes the day after Moss' bizarre postgame presser following the Vikings' loss to his former team, the New England Patriots. In it, he professed his love for the Patriots and admiration for Coach Bill Belichick and vowed to do future press conferences in which only he asks and answers questions. That came on the heels of a $25,000 fine last week for not meeting media obligations as required by the NFL.

Moss, traded by the Patriots to the Vikings on Oct. 6, remained behind in Boston after Sunday's loss. Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, told of Moss' released, sighed and said no comment.

Naturally, there is going to be all sorts of Moss-to-the-Redskins speculation (see Glauber, Bob) because 1) they're the Redskins and 2) check out Moss' shirt (see video above). Mike Shanahan joked in his press conference: *joke alert* "He's in our facility right now." */joke alert*

Can't wait till Moss interviews Moss about this.

REDSKINS....Here's your chance to get a big-play vertical receiver who can stretch the field and open things up for Santana Moss and A Armstrong.....GO GET HIM!!!!

This could be a good pick up. Or it could be a disaster. If we can get him cheaply for the rest of the season with the option of an extension, it might be worth seeing how it goes.

Honestly, what do the Redskins have to lose? You would be getting a good receiver for 8 games. The worst that can happen is he doesn't show up and we lose the last 8 games (which I don't think would happen), and he signs somewhere else. I say take the chance.

Get him, it's not my money. He'll be a nice compliment to Fat Albert.

I love Trout's comment. It's not my money either, so go get him! At least we'll have some continuing entertainment around here. Heck, if they can't be good at least they can be entertaining -- Monty Python was entertaining.

I am all for entertainment, but please, for the love of Jack Kent Cooke, not this. The last thing we need is another disruption in the locker room. For all the flack that TO, OchoCinco and Keyshawn Johnson have taken, I think Randy Moss is 10 times worst than all of them added together. At least I believe they all have good hearts, they just happen to get caught up in their own egos at times. Randy Moss is just not a good person and doesn't care about anyone, but himself. The True Redskins Nation can not back a person like that no matter how many catches he can make.

McNabb to Moss and Moss

The Vikings have no one to blame for this mess but themselves. If they had kept their mouths closed days before the game maybe Randy would have kept his closed after the game.

Both the Vikings and the Redskins have very stupid coaches.

Redskin fans I've come to realize are not that bright. You guys are the same ones who thought Bush was a good president and McCain would be even better, huh. Moss wouldn't come here because Shanny thinks he's Lombardi. He's just as bad as Schottenheimer (son for coordinator), Spurrier (son coordinator) and now this clown, Shanny. As much as you hate Moss, how about placing the blame where it should go: Favre. And McNabb gets benched for Grossman. If McNabb had done half of what Favre did, Shanny would've burned his house. Favre has held that team hostage and only now is the coach realizing the trouble he's in having the great country boy, Favre. That's why the Packers and Jets said good riddance. Now if only the Redskins can get rid of Shanny and this 3-4. And by the way, McNabb will be in AZ, Chi or Minn next year, winning.

ktaylor--

Skins fans may not be bright, but at least they are not so dim as to characterize the Washington metropolitan area as Bush/McCain country. The last time this area voted Repub was for Ike.
