Report: Richard Seymour fined $25,000 for striking Ben Roethlisberger
Oakland Raiders defensive end Richard Seymour has been fined $25,000 by the NFL for striking Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger in the face on Sunday, sources told ESPN.
Roethlisberger jumped into the arms of tackle Flozell Adams to celebrate a touchdown, then, as he walked away, appeared to say something to Seymour, who smacked him in the jaw. Roethlisberger fell to the ground and Seymour was ejected from the game.
