Steelers place tackle Max Starks on injured-reserve list with neck injury
The Pittsburgh Steelers have placed left tackle Max Starks on the season-ending injured-reserve list because of a neck injury.
The injury to Starks, who is expected to undergo surgery, is the second significant offensive line injury for the team. Right tackle Willie Colon suffered a season-ending Achilles' tendon injury in June. Starks, 28, was hurt in Pittsburgh's victory Monday night.
The Steelers activated rookie offensive tackle Chris Scott, who'd been out with a foot injury, from the physically unable to perform list.
