Tennessee Coach Bruce Pearl suspended by SEC for 8 conference games
Tennessee Coach Bruce Pearl has been suspended by the Southeastern Conference for the school's first eight conference games because of NCAA violations.
Pearl had admitted in September that he lied to NCAA investigators about a barbecue he hosted at his home for high school juniors. Tennessee's first conference game is Jan. 8 at Arkansas; Pearl can return Feb. 8, when the Vols play Kentucky.
