Dez Bryant has surgery for broken fibula

By Cindy Boren

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant underwent surgery this morning to repair the broken fibula he suffered Sunday afternoon in Dallas' overtime victory over the Indianapolis Colts.

Sources told ESPN that a plate was placed in Bryant's leg to stabilize the bone. He was injured when Kavell Conner landed on his ankle while making the tackle on a kickoff return in the fourth quarter.
