Sal Alosi trips player, triggers memories of other sideline foibles
And now, in honor of the Jets' Sal Alosi, who tripped Nolan Carroll of the Dolphins on Sunday, great moments in sideline stupidity:
Tommy Lewis averts a touchdown, is instantly regretful or at least wishful that the ground would swallow him whole.
Instant awareness is missing with Ohio State Coach Woody Hayes.
And, of course, there was the time Larry David tripped Shaquille O'Neal at a Lakers game on "Curb Your Enthusiasm." (You'll have to Google it. There are several profanities that would bruise the tender ears of younger readers.)
