Tucker Carlson: Michael Vick 'should have been executed'

By Cindy Boren

Filling in for Sean Hannity on Fox News, Tucker Carlson reworked the penal code and dropped a small bombshell, saying that Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick "should have been executed" for killing dogs.

"I'm a Christian. I've made mistakes myself. I believe fervently in second chances," Carlson said as he filled in as host of Sean Hannity's Fox show. "But Michael Vick killed dogs and he did it in a heartless and cruel way. I think personally he should have been executed for that. He wasn't."

The catalyst for the conversation was President Obama's remark about Vick's rehabilitation and resuscitated career earlier this week. The talk was more about Obama than Vick, who has been one of the NFL's success stories this year (he was named the NFC quarterback in the Pro Bowl on Tuesday) and a TV ratings magnet. (Let's not even mention the fantasy football implications of Carlson's comment.)

It's a lot of hot air, of course, about a man who did not commit a death-penalty crime. He received a 23-month sentence for his role in a dogfighting operation and served his time in the federal prison in Leavenworth, Kan., not the kind of place they send TV celebrities and commentators when they're found guilty of wrongdoing. He speaks publicly and openly about the crimes he committed. It may still be difficult to root for Vick or simply to wish him well -- even his employers view his probation as open-ended -- but executed? Really?

(Thanks to Jonathan Tannenwald.)

Vick apologists should know that while Vick was swinging dogs by their hind legs and hitting them repeatedly against the ground or against steel poles until they were dead, he was already a multimillionaire.

Vick had no need to make money from dog fighting. He is just a psychopathic nut who gets pleasure from inflicting pain on other creatures.. That's why people dislike the SOB so much.

No wonder Tucker Carlson was kicked out by so many employers. Now that he has started his own crap, I guess he won't kick himself out.

Maybe you didn't see, but he was selected to START at the probowl, everyone turns the channel when he's on TV,hell even you read this article because of the headline. Not as many people dislike Vick as you think.

Oh, all the poor liberals are so offended. It never occurs to them that the rest of us are offended by them and their ideas. They think this is bad? Well, I think all of the "liberal, socialist" programs they're trying to force us into are BAD. We don't want them. If we executed more criminals, we wouldn't have the problems we have today.

Posted by: georges2 | December 29, 2010 9:52 AM | Report abuse

Ok...If we do that to Vick, can we go back and retry, convict and "execute" all those Klan members who hung, castrated, and burned black people?

It's only fair!

...Racist bastard!

Which is why no one cares what Carlson says. John Stewart pointed out, to his face, that his wearing bow-ties was theater. (Notice he doesn't wear them anymore.) This is just more theater, tasteless, but theater nonetheless. Hey YOU gave him more publicity! Seems to be working.

I think this remark was extreme but consider the subject:

a man who with his own hands drowned, electrocuted, hung and strangled living beings with consciousness and emotions, thats right - consiousness and emotions

studies show that serial killers often do this when they are children - psychopaths -the cruelest of humans

when Obama pardoned him and the Eagles re-hired him they elevated psychopathic behaviour as something that someone can do and have no consequences in their lives

Vick did serve his time, but do we want him elevated as a hero - because that's what we do with football players, we make them hero's

So it's ok to kill helpless animals, steal peoples pets and feed them to dogs being trained to kill as practice tools

How would you feel if your pet was taken and killed by an animal being trained to KILL? it's own kind? for the pleasure of SADISTS and PSYCOPATHS

Kill Vick - NO
Strip him of glory and money - YES
Get the OK from the PRESIDENT - NOOOOOOOO
(before you freak out and call me racist, I love Obama, voted for him and will vote again for him so......)

throw him in a pit filled with pit bulls with bacon all over him - I have to think about that, maybe if there is a pully to pull him out last minute - but then I am sinking to Vick's level and that is what is wrong with what Tucker said

Happy New Year eveyrone, except Micheal Vick - you can rot in hel.

Posted by: lndlouis | December 29, 2010 10:11 AM | Report abuse

Anyone who is as cruel and inhumane as Vick will never change. If this is an example of Obama's insight, I have no confidence in his ability or judgement. He is not even politically savy to make that phone call.

Why is dog fighting even a felony? They are dogs? Do people who slaughter pigs or horses or chickens go to jail? Of course not. What about those that sportfish for marlin or sailfish? Of course not.

Who cares. Tucker sounds like an idiot.

Posted by: jk1492 | December 29, 2010 10:14 AM | Report abuse

Other president weighted in on sports players before--W. Bush did too on a baseball player. Clinton also. Of course Obama can't do anything right.

I disagree with the president and I think Vick''s second chance should not have been with NFL. Give him a job with Peta or Humane Society. Or a football coach in high school.

It takes one sick person to do the sick torturing he did to animals. 2 years in prison is his paid debt so be that but to say he is someone he may not be is another story altogether and whatever he is or isn't there is one fact here--its too soon to judge!
All high profile people and the NFL also need to keep their mouths shut on Vick and let him prove who and what he is instead of putting him up there on some kind of pedestal.

I've no sympathy for Vick, but what would Tucker say about Sarah Palin and her killing of animals. Carlson is just playing more political B.S. games like the hypocrite that he is.

Umm, wonder if Obama would have said the same thing if Vick had been a "white dog killer". Where was Obama when others deserved a second chance like Trent Lott, Don Imus, etc.? They were crucified because of their words...not killing dogs. Vick didn't look too great last night against the Vikings. Final Question. Would Obama have said anything about Vick if the Eagles were 5-10? To me, this stuff is too obvious.

I can honest to God say that this man is not a Christian because he doesn't even know what Christianity is. God doesn't make exceptions when it comes to forgiveness. This man is racist. It should not matter that Michael Vick makes a lot of money, because that's his profession. He has to make a living some how, right? He just happens to be blessed with the ability to perform at a high paying job, but that in no way should stop him from making a living. What do you want him to do, basket weaving?

And on top of that, if it is wrong to kill dogs as he has stated then it should be wrong to shoot deer, ducks and any other animal that is hunted. There is such a double standard in this country and people seem to lack any morals. If he and all of these Vick-haters truly believed it is wrong to kill animals than they should be protesting Walmart, Target, Dick's, Modell's, and all the other places that sell hunting gear because they are just as responsible. And he should also fight for banning horse racing given the amount of abuse they give those horses. If he truly is against these behavior then instead of criticizing Obama, he should stop being a hypocrite and focus on what he supposedly has a problem with. But we all know that this isn't about animals, this is about a racist that doesn't like this black man making all this money and having all this fame.

Need I remind you that, if you add up all votes for President since 1988, you'll find that the number of votes for a Democratic candidate far outnumber the votes for a Republican candidate?

So, what exactly do you mean when you refer to the "rest of us"? You feel that your ideas are in fact so impeccably awesome that their awesomeness should override majority rule?

His name is garbage, remember when he was pushed by msnbc as their savior? Right. Carlson is someone the American people have rejected who now wants to pander to some obscure minority to lynch blacks. Yowsuh, what a no talent, no ratings nothing of a person. As a skins fan it pains me to say it, but Vick deserves his second chance. He paid a heavy price. I love dogs and what he did was wrong but I think his punishment was sufficient. He's playing better than ever and I believe him when he says that he now knows that what he did was wrong.

Carlson has no place on TV with these types of comments.

OK, I am second to none in thinking that Vick should have received harsher punishment and not been allowed to resume his life as a highly paid NFL player. But Carlson's statement is just absurd. Is he channeling Ann Coulter? She says crazy things like this.

Defenders of Vick should read THE LOST DOGS, the account of Vick's prosecution and the rehabilitation of the dogs. Obama should read it, too. I am ashamed of him and I voted for him.

"It's a lot of hot air, of course, about a man who did not commit a death-penalty crime."

Hot air? Really? They've been executing black men for decades for committing no crime at all, or for being framed for crimes that others commit like killing people's family members for the insurance money and then framing a black guy for the crime.

Susan Smith also stands out, the woman who pushed her two sons into the lake in her car and told police a black guy did it.

So it doesn't surprise me that Tucker Carlson would call for the execution of a black man for any reason or even for no reason, especially a really successful black guy.

That must just make Tucker Carlson SICK.

Carlson has the moral high ground here over Obama (who lied about his call to Lurie) or Vick (who was only sorry out of financial necessity).

Expect the predictable DC spin machine to accelerate in coming days. Whenever Obama makes a stand, Conservatives have to be against it and up the ante on the argument. If George W. Bush had praise for Vick, could you imagine what Keith Olbermann would have to say about it?

Obama effectively alienated approximately 50 million dog owners in the U.S. and untold others (e.g., cat owners) who believe in basic decency. By lying about his motivations for the call to Lurie, Obama exposed himself as a patent liar, and effectively moved himself closer to the moral plane on which Vick resides.

This is not a second chance for Vick, he has had hundreds, perhaps thousands of chances to stop the killing and torture.

He tortured and killed helpless dogs. He used puppies as pit bull fighting bait. He mutilated animals that refused to fight by electrocuting, burning alive, drowning, strangling, etc. He slaughtered these helpless creatures with his bare hands, for fun. He did not torture and kill just one dog. He did it to hundreds, perhaps thousands of helpless, innocent dogs. The man is a monster and the president is a monster to praise him.

With regard to Vick, all we see is him playing football and on televison, we do not know the emotional and mental toll thats being taken against him. We also do not know what he has loss as a result of his actions. With regard to Tucker, he clearly does not know about Animal Welfare Act, the Humane Slaughter Act, and other Federal statutes enacted to protect animals. Also, he clearly doesnt b/c every year Government agenices received thousands of complaints, letters, and conduct investigations against businesses who inhumanely slaugter, kill, starve, and abuse animals, none of them are black owned businesses. He calls himself Christian but has he or ilk ever ever sought execution of the thousands of men, wome, and children hung by white slave masters, KKK, and average white men and women. Nothing in Holy Writ says anything about executing humans for cruelity to animals; although there are laws in the Hebrew texts that punish people, like Micahel Vick, for his animal cruelty, in a round about way.

What a bunch of hypocrits, people eat electocuted bacon, Ray Lewis was probably an accessory to murder, but probably also admired for beating the rap.

Most people love dogs more than other people, heck, I do too but they should at least aknowledge that biblical thing about being the first to cast stones.

I'm always amused when liberals think that some people (e.g., Carlson) shouldn't have the right to form their own opinions.

Michael Vick did some time and has paid his dues to society by the standards of our Justice system. As private citizens, we are entitled to form our own opinions as to whether Vick truly paid for his horrific transgressions. I'm more in the Carlson camp than the Obama camp on this one -- and I think most Americans are as well.

I certainly agree but before this, there are a couple things we must do. In many neighborhoods across America people are killing poultry, cats and dogs using various methods. Sacrifices, entertainment (including circuses) and consumption come easily to mind. Let us take care of those killers. I have also witnessed lobster murder in facilities licensed by the State. What about those killers who specialize in the deaths of human beings? There are sickness care professionals, insurance companies and others who deny appropriate and timely care to people. This results in early unnecessary deaths to about 50,000 people annually (According to the IOM). Those cars whose brakes fail fatally and whose emissions kill need to have their manufacturer's CEO making his/her last words and meal available to the public. Let us track those killers down and give them the extreme penalty prior to snuffing out Mr Vick for dog murder. What about those horrible laws that allow people to employ human beings on oil rigs that are risky and sometimes blow up resulting in many deaths. Let us take care of those owners and the lawmakers who facilitate them. While we are at it, let us use this killing field to teach those non vegans a lesson. We could also use this seaSON OF EXECUTION TO educate THOSE who cater to their dead animal tastes a thing or two. They raise hogs in confined quarters and saturate them with antibiotics, deny them exercise and other social activity and then mercilessly annihilate, cook and eat them. The same is done to poultry and cattle. These activities also contribute to premature human deaths. We will make 2011 the Year of the Undertaker while we clean up the gross wrongs in our country. All those cockfighting, horse racing and dog racing people beware. We will be watching next time you murder an animal just because of a fractured leg or neck. When we are finished with these people, Mr Vick, Mr Carlson will be a comin' fer you. That should make you at least tremble in your shoes.

Such a peculiar alignment of opinions. Conservatives are typically hostile to issues related to former offenders, but favorable to open markets and the corporate sports-entertainment industry. They hate Obama and may or may not love dogs. Liberals are usually supportive of prisoner reentry issues and sympathetic to minorities who are disproportionately incarcerated. Then there's the way this topic trails into everything from racism to hunting; sports to criminal justice. Personal biases so overwhelm the facts, this discussion turns into an opinion tornado.

Just for the record, prison sentences are intended to interrupt criminal conduct and isolate offenders. Serving a sentence doesn't pay a debt; it runs up the bill. Restitution can only happen on the outside. If someone had video tapes of Vick beating and electrocuting dogs, there would be no debate. Most of us would be rightly afraid to be in the same room with him. He is a lousy poster-boy for prisoner reentry issues. Good intentions aside, Obama should know that.

NFL? Hell, if Richard Speck, John Wayne Gacy and Jeffery Dahmer could play football, somebody would sign 'em.

"I'm a Christian, I've made mistakes, I believe in second chances (as all good Christians should) but I don't believe in second chances for some people (particularly black people, and especially black people I associate with Obama)."

It's just stupid to say one thing and in the next sentence contradict yourself. And why is it okay for conservative Christians to endorse murder? If you want the government to kill felons you have a right to that opinion but don't launch into your plea to kill them with the phrase "I'm a Christian." Where in the bible did Jesus advocate killing people?

Statements like "once a thug, always a thug" or he should be executed" are the reasons why ignorance of predjudice, racism, and even sexism have lasted so long in this country. Thank you, Tucker, for saying what so many of us are actually thinking. Vick hasn't served a day in prison for serially drowning, electrocuting, hanging, bludgeoning and otherwise torturing dozens of dogs, all of which are felonies separate from dog fighting. For that he can thank a corrupt local prosecutor who essentially carved a celebrity-based exemption into VA's otherwise robust animal cruelty laws.

If properly charged with one felony count per tortured dog, he'd be serving essentially a life sentence, like many other dog fighterse of all races.

Posted by: VirginiaDad | December 29, 2010 1:54 PM | Report abuse

Do you fun loving Progressives understand how pitbulls are trained for dogfighting?

I have friends who lost herding dogs to Vick and his bus. These herding dogs were worth upwards of $40K. Vicks friends stole them out of the back of a pick up when the owner was at MCds.

Okay I settle for neutering Vick by letting pitbulls go for his privates.

Again here in VA rumors are he still attends dog fights!

Posted by: sheepherder | December 29, 2010 1:55 PM | Report abuse

I should be surprised but I'm not regarding the publics reaction/horror to the issue of Michael Vick and dog fighting. This country had laws to protect animals before it had laws to protect children.

Although, I'm not an animal lover, however cruelty is cruelty. He served his time. Let it go! For crying out loud! Seriously?! Let it go!

This is the mentality that (dare I say it) contributes to ex-offenders not getting a second chance and therefore revert back to their criminal behaviors.

I can't help but wonder if Michael Vick were another race, would he have been sent to Leavenwork? Would he have served 23 months? Is dog fighting bad only if you are celebrity/professional athlete? I can't help but wonder what you wil find when you go into Appalachia (sp?), midwest and the south who is financially benefiting from animal fighting (dog, cock fighting and who knows what else)?

Just a thought. . . .

Michael Vick is a sick, twisted Sociopath who will be back in jail sooner or later, for crimes against human beings. Anyone who did what this dispicable cretin did to God's gift to humankind, our Best Friend, our dogs, will do it to anyone who displeases him. The only headline I want to read about in connection with this monster is irreversible, crippling injury to both legs, his back and his spinal cord. May he rot in hell and may Comrade Obozo grow a frickin' BRAIN and stop endorsing these rich, black CRIMINALS who don't deserve to live among normal human beings. African American Michael Vick a rising star in the sports world should have been executed or prosecuted for committing a crime. Fox host makes an appeal for equal justice applied to all persons regardless of race, ethnicity or sex. Why does Obama intervene?

Would Obama have made the same plea using his office if the quarter back for the Eagles was Hispanic or White? Journalists have the right to be objective. Using ethnicity and race in politics is divisive. The Obama and Vick is racial politics at its worse.

American voters need to “wake-up” and reject Black Caucus Democrat politics of State Legislators on redistricting for Congressional representation. Most Democrat African Americans are worried about competition with Hispanic voting populations. National social activist want voting districts that will vote based on skin color. Get the district setup so all African Americans will vote for an African American. If 60% of the voters are of color then 60% vote Democrat for the right color candidate.

Take a big leap forward and vote on issues and leadership skills instead of demographic quotes. Elect a candidate who has the best interest of all the people in mind and hold them to their campaign promises. How is Obama trying to get the Hispanic vote? He wants to degrade U.S. citizenship for political convince to attract Hispanic votes “in-block” for Democrats.

For the first and probably only time, Tucker Carlson and I agree on something. I don't believe in the death penalty generally, but I would have pulled the switch with glee on Michael Vick. Animal torturers do NOT deserve second chances.

If torturing dogs merits the death penalty, what would Tucker suggest for his Bush Republican heroes and their systematic torture of human beings?

Or for his cheerleading the invasion of a non-existent threat that was Iraq?

Ostensibly, Tucker is responsible for the deaths of 4000 Americans and many more innocent Iraqis and Iraqi doggies.

Tucker Carlson went too far in calling for Michael Vick's execution.

That having been said, I wonder how many of Mr. Carlson's fiercest critics would howl in disgust at commentators who call for the execution of convicted murderers. I also wonder how many of those critics would turn right around and support the killing of innocent unborn human babies through legalized abortion.

Once again, Tucker Carlson shows himself to be neither a Christian or an intelligent, reasonable person. While his behavior towards animals was barbaric and reprehensible, Mr. Vick has paid his debt to Society and deserves a second chance. I don't think he merits execution. Jesus said, "Let he who is without sin among you, cast the first stone". Conversely, Tucker needs to go back and read his Bible. Hate the sin, love the sinner, and try to teach him the error of his ways. Even you, Tucker, are educable.

Geez, thank the good Lord I don't go to Tucker Carlson's church where it is ok to kill abortion doctors or dog fighters, what's next hang liberal bloggers? According to the Christ I worship, redemption and forgiveness is a big part of what Jesus spoke of, what he came here for in the first place to provide salvation to the sinners. Jesus also spoke of thinking of lust, thievery or murder was as bad as commiting the crime --
so I guess he might just as well kill Mr. Vicks. Of course Mr. Tucker doesn't really need to be a Christian because he is obviously above it all. As a newborn Republican, and a firm Christian, I find Mr. Carlson behavior both uninformed and dangerous.

Don’t focus on the person talking, or the people he’s talking about. There is only one who is truly being attacked here: The Most High God. There is a sinister plot at hand designed to demean the social perception of what is called Christianity. In one breath the person announced that he was “a Christian,” (this word is SUPPOSED to mean “Christ follower”) and in the next breath he vocalized a concept that OPPOSES Christianity (in it’s purest sense): he does NOT honor repentance and forgiveness, thus making him a LIAR. I tell you, incorporating evilness with Godly doctrine is a designed plot.

The real outrage should be that the man isn’t a true Christian; he lied and told you he was. The end result is, one who is on the fence about God will look at people who call themselves Christians and (accurately) associate them with evilness and hate it altogether, OR they will join these liars and call themselves Christians, thinking that they are on God’s side (or hoping that others will believe so), but at the same time feel no burden on themselves to stop sinning and be like Christ.

Dare I say, 98-percent of ALL so-called Christians fit in one of these two categories. Meanwhile, no one is following Christ. Yet, these liars are the main ones to talk about what is right and what is wrong.

What a nation of hypocrites!

Ironically, it will be THESE people who will be on the receiving end of capitol punishment. And doubly-ironic, those who repent and turn their lives around (like Vick) will rejoice.

I agree that Vick did cruel, dastardly things that few humans would do. However, he was tried, sentenced and now has served 19 months in prison and has a large number of Community Service hours to do (I'm not sure how many).

By current reports and video tape I've seen, Vick is serious in his presentations – that always include a confession that what he did was very wrong.

Carlson, I thought you had some common sense, but I guess I was wrong, judging by your "kill 'em" words. You need to talk to your pastor about forgiveness.

Assuming you are a Christian, would you be forgiven of your sins without Jesus's forgiveness? Jesus forgave a man (Paul) who was a murderer. In your mind do you believe that Jesus should have killed Paul. Do you think Christianity would be better off with Paul killed before he had a chance to spread the Gospel of Christ?

I am very disappointed in you, Carlson. You have lost my confidence in you, and I believe you have lost a lot of people's confidence.

I'll pray for you.

Tucker Carlson fits right in for Hannity with his comments. I personally believe Hannity woud also say something so cruel as to execute a human being that has paid his what the criminal system said he owed. Not to mention how Vick has turned his life around and is a mentor for those who have committed a crime. God contines to forgive all of us on a daily basis. So who the hell does this nerd Carlson think he is the second coming of our Lord and Saviour. I cannot wait to see this nerd eat his words when God shows him what goes around comes around. Long ago, I stopped watch FIX News and this nerd proves why it is worthless to turn that cable station on. They allow nerds and hypocrits which of course includes Hannity, O'Reilly and many others (Wallace, etc) to pick their lies and of course not discuss others. Where is this nerd when Libby committed the crime of revealing our agent which could have caused her death. So let me ask the nerd Carlson how he feels about Libby's sentence being commuted by Bush? There are so many others that have escaped their crime without paying their full sentence but FIX News does not report facts just their made up opinions/lies. I am sure Hannity was too proud of this nerd's comments. Let's look at another example of why FIX News needs to be turned off in your home: they were all over the story about the Mosque being built close to Ground Zero but when the 9/11 First Responders legislation to pay for their derserved health care only one of their reports mentioned how the Republicans stopped this bill. Carlson you are no Christian according to the word in the Bible. You are entitle to your opinion of being a Christian but you are NOT entitle to your own facts about what a true Christian looks like; and nerd it is NOT you. You should pray to be half the man Vick has turned out to be.

So if Michael Vick should be executed for "killing dogs" in a "heartless and cruel way," what would he recommend for what Sarah Palin did to that Caribou on her show? Five years in a minimum security prison? A suspended sentence and probation with community service? Would Vick have gotten more leniency if he'd used the dead animals to feed starving children?

I'm not a PETA booster by any means, but could we stop pretending that torturing and killing a companion animal is that much worse than a wild one?

Yes it is worse, a domesticated animal has been bred over thousands of years to (among other things) not fear humans and even trust them (especially companion animals), whereas most wild animals have an instinctive fear of humans (most of the ones that didn't are now extinct). Michael Vick and his cronies abused this trust for their own sadistic ends. Distilled to it's bare essence, though, what they did is only slightly worse than what happens to millions of chickens and thousands of cows on a daily basis.

If Vick deserved to die, then all of us who have eaten meat today deserve at least a stiff fine.

That said, Tucker Carlson is a worse person than Vick, in that Carlson promoted policies nationally that killed many innocent people. Carlson should not have a platform at all and should be in solitary confinement until such time that the innocent dead be brought back to life. That of course would mean an extended stay for "Tucks" at the Graybar Hotel. He is an absolute jurk

I stand behind Tucker Carlson's statement in that we have to remember that Michael Vick is a person who carelessly jeopardized the lives of hundreds of dogs for the sake of profit. Spending 23 months in jail does not instantly make a person repent their sins. Michael Vick is in desperate need of being rehabilitated and by working with the Humane Society of the United States he is taking a small step in the right direction. Although Michael Vick makes the claim that he acknowledges his wrong doing and will never engage in dog fighting again, I don't think that we can risk putting another dog's innocent life in jeopardy. Profit is a strong motif(especially in today's economic climate) and I'm not so convinced that Michael Vick is strong enough to resist.

Really, execution? *HA*

I'm not at all surprised he's opinion on Vick's punishment would be hyperbolic at best.
Tucker is a man-child, who most likely, doesn't care half as much as he alluded to. He wants controversy.
He's says things that honestly lack sophistication. Look at other opinions he's made on various topics. There's a definite M.O IMMATURITY.

I agree Michael Vick engaged in nefarious
acts and dogs died as a result. I agree with his punishment for it, but Carlson's statement is preposterous and even HE knows it.

First, I doubt tucker carlson feels the same way about sarah palin frequently killing animals for pleasure.

Second, Big Ben roethlisberger raped multiple women, got caught raping another, had the police erase the evidence and received no jail time, & Tucker Carlson didn't make one comment about Ben or Dante Stallworth (who killed a person while DUI) deserving to die over harming a human being, but Vick deserves to die over harming dogs...Tucker Carlson is an idiot for making this comment and deserves to be fired. I'll never watch fox news again until tucker is fired!

Tucker Carlson, get a life!!! Let's talk about your ancestors slaughtering thousand upon thousand of basin on this continent for sport! Animals that the American Indians depended on to sustain themselves! How many of those white men got executed for that horrific attack on nature and all the another atrocity afflicted upon the American Indian and the African Americans, and other Peoples of this continent and around the world, that no one has been executed for! Who are you to judge Mr. Christian. And if the President thinks Mr. Vick deserve a second chance than you should agree Mr. Christian Let's not make this out of a right wing conservative political debate! Any excuse will do to bash the President. Every time the man opens his mouth on any subject you right wing conservatives make a federal case out of it! Oh!! by the way! dog fighting started over in Europe, centuries ago! Probably by one of your ancestors just like SLAVERY. Did anybody get executed that? Mr. Christian!!!!!!!

I wonder what the response would have been if this had been a white preacher who asked forgiveness instead of vick? And we sit quietly while a war based on lies kills 300,000 plus HUMANS, and HUMANS are tortured and killed by twisting laws, but let someone mistreat a dog or a cat and america flips out. This society needs Psychiatric help in the worst way.
