David Shaw named Stanford coach
Stanford has chosen David Shaw, offensive coordinator under Jim Haubaugh, to succeed him as the team's head coach.
Shaw was OC under Harbaugh, who was named coach of the San Francisco 49ers, for four years and, before that, worked for him at the University of San Diego. He will be introduced at a press conference this afternoon.
Shaw played for the Cardinal and has been an assistant at Western Washington and in the NFL for the Philadelphia Eagles, Oakland Raiders and Baltimore Ravens.
