Football Hall of Fame announces 17 finalists for Class of 2011
Seventeen finalists for election to the Pro Football Hall of Fame have been announced:
Tim Brown, Cris Carter, Andre Reed, Shannon Sharpe, Dermontti Dawson, Richard Dent, Chris Doleman, Charles Haley, Cortez Kennedy, Ed Sabol and first-time candidates Jerome Bettis, Curtis Martin, Willie Roaf, Deion Sanders and Marshall Faulk. Chris Hanburger and Les Richter are the senior candidates.
The Class of 2011 will be elected and announced on Feb. 5, the eve of Super Bowl XLV in Dallas.
