Les Miles will stay at LSU

By Cindy Boren

Louisiana State officials have announced that Les Miles he is staying on as the school's football coach. His name was continually mentioned in connection with the vacancy at his alma mater Michigan and reports Monday had indicated that he would talk to officials there about the job.

"I am pleased to announce that Les Miles will remain the head coach at LSU," Athletic Director Joe Alleva said in a statement released by the team. "Les has led this program to many great successes on the field and his players represent LSU well off the field. We look forward to many great years of LSU football under his leadership."

It is unclear, according to freep.com, whether Michigan officially offered Miles the job.
