Maurkice Pouncey says he'll play in Super Bowl XLV
Pittsburgh Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey has started every game of his rookie season and, despite the high ankle sprain he suffered in the AFC championship game Sunday, he says he'll start Super Bowl XLV against the Green Bay Packers.
"Most definitely," Pouncey said of playing on Feb. 6. "I had this same injury before on my other ankle [as a sophomore at Florida] and I know how to attack it. I know how to approach things. I know in my heart I'm playing in that game."
Pouncey said he heard a pop in the ankle when a Jets defensive lineman rolled up on his leg on the Steelers' first drive and called it "the worst pain ever."
