Jay Gruden to be named offensive coordinator of the Cincinnati Bengals
Jay Gruden, head coach of the Virginia Destroyers of the UFL, will be named offensive coordinator of the Cincinnati Bengals.
Gruden, the younger brother of "Monday Night Football" analyst Jon Gruden and the Gruden who does not resemble Chucky, led the Florida Tuskers to the UFL title last year. Jay Gruden played quarterback at Louisville from 1985-88.
Gruden replaces Bob Bratkowski, who was fired Monday. Hints of the hiring were first reported by Pro Football Talk and confirmed by ESPN and the Cincinnati Enquirer's Joe Reedy.
