From No to Yes
Representative Howard Coble (R-N.C.) has changed his mind. On the House floor just now, Coble said he is now supporting the bailout bill after voting against it earlier this week. The reasons? He likes the changes that emerged in the Senate, and he said the phone calls his office was receiving lately had gone from blasting the bill to supporting it.
The debate continues. A vote is expected around 1 p.m.

I'm so happy as an American to see both Republicans and Democrats in the House taking a fresh look at this issue and breathing new life into this bill. It may not be the best, but it is clearly better than jumping into the economic abyss with no bill at all. Thank you, Representative Coble.

They were going to vote at noon. It's one now. Minds are changing like burned out lightbulbs now. Start a lightbulb repair business. Once a bulb burns out, you toss it. They're going to make candles that burn forever with some special wax we don't know about next.
