Feds: Gas To Average $1.87/Gal. Through 2009
Been thinking about buying a Hummer recently but putting it off because you're worried gas will shoot back up to $4 per gallon?
Well, friend, cast your worries aside! Lasso that Hummer!
In a report out today, the Energy Information Administration -- keepers of the official energy stats for the U.S. government -- said it expects gasoline to average $1.87 per gallon through 2009.
And more good news: The EIA expects gas to jump only to $2.18 per gallon in 2010.
And for your truckers -- and buyers of New Diesel vehicles, such as the 265hp/35mpg highway BMW 335d sedan -- you get good fuel news, too.
Diesel -- which averaged $3.79 per gallon in 2008 -- is projected to average $2.27 per gallon in 2009 and $2.54 in 2010.
