JetBlue To Refund Fares For Laid-Off Workers
If you buy a ticket on JetBlue and lose your job, you could be eligible for a refund, the company said today.
The airline's announcement follows the give-back sales campaign launched recently by Hyandai, which told buyers that if they purchased a new Hyundai and lost their job in 2009, they could give back the car at no charge.
Call it recession marketing.
If JetBlue customers book a flight between Feb. 1 and June 1 this year and loses their jobs on or after today, they could be eligible for a full refund if they notify the airline at least two weeks before the trip.
The refund is good for up to nine customers traveling on one reservation, the company said.
