Do we need another Church Committee?

• Rumor is that Mario Batali is opening a restaurant in DC.

Blame Congress for the deficit.

Did the Education Department kill Reading Rainbow?

Sigh. We'll miss you, Reading Rainbow.

Reading Rainbow, how cute.

Maybe if today you hadn't used Ted Kennedy's memory to talk down the left on healthcare reform we could've bonded.

Mario Batali? The guy that serenades his meatballs?

I can't take him seriously.

I'm just sad that I will never be one of the presenter kids with my favorite book now.

And, Ezra, this is the Reading Rainbow video you should have linked to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wm_Mv4uL3s4

Every day I come by this site, Ezra, and I read your blog. And we go out, we have a few drinks, and a few laughs, and it's great. But you know what the best part of my day is? It's for about one second from when I click on that bookmark to when this page finally loads. Because I think maybe I'll get up there and I'll click on the Washington Post and you won't be there. No goodbye, no see you later, no nothin'. Just left. I don't know much, but I know that.
