So in advance of any actual legislation, Rahmbo has signaled publicly that there are not enough votes in the Senate for a public option, i.e. the administration is more than happy to fold. In my view it was always the White House's desire to strip out a p.o. Meanwhile, progressives in the House (Wiener, Nadler, et. al.) have repeatedly stated they will vote against any reform bill sans a p.o. -- hard to walk that one back.

Any thoughts?

Well, at least we might have learned something about Grassley - he is actually suffering at the home base for his opposition to health care reform. Perhaps some groups can exploit that with television ads and the like?

Either way, the guy has essentially no credibility left, at all.

Chuck Grassley is turning into the number one clown of the political season. He has lost all dignity. He lost all integrity a long time ago.
