Everybody -- and by everybody, I mean a very small percentage of the population, but one that is disproportionately represented in the blogosphere -- is going to be reading Ryan Lizza's lengthy profile of Larry Summers today. You should too. Dean Baker, it should be said, is not impressed.

The fault line seems to be across those who think Summers is a genius with powers of financial analysis far above those of other human beings (including the vast majority of those working in finance), and those who don't. Personally I have a hard time seeing where Summers' track record supports a claim of genius.
