Liveblogging In The SFC
TPMDC's Brian Beutler is liveblogging the Senate Finance Committee's pre-vote hearing. Liveblogging gets a bit of a bad name, as it's often terrible, but it's actually the best way to follow things like hearing, where there's not one overarching narrative so much as a lot of fractured, telling moments.

I could do without Beutler's running criticism of the AHIP report. If I were grading just on academic rigor, I'd give PwC a "B" and Gruber an "F"... and I'd give the Committee an "F" for getting this far without any idea what their bill will actually do to national health care spending!

... and Baucus calls for CBO score on final merged bill before Senate floor vote. This is a huge break with the Monarchists faction, which desires an un-scored merged bill including what it calls a public option.
