The quotable Chait

For the record, as a professional blogger, I consider having government officials writing blog posts refuting Wall Street Journal op-eds to be a dangerous encroachment by Big Government upon a vital function of the private sector.

That's Jon Chait writing about Peter Orszag.

Jon Chait is jaleous and his little screed shows it.

Personnaly, I'll take Orszag over Chait any day. Orszag is a well-respected economist. Chait is a nobody.

I think if someone works for government, they still have the rights to express their opinions and thoughts.

If some effective outlet had already responded effectively to WSJ misinformation or destructive ideology, then it would not be left to some of our top civil servants.

I think it's meant to be read, Gatsby.

I'm pretty sure Chait wrote that with tongue firmly in cheek, Gatsby10.
