Summitry
The fun begins at 10 am. You can watch it on C-SPAN.org. But I'm getting a much clearer picture watching it at YouTube.
I'll of course be blogging on this throughout the day. Snarkier observations will be happening over at my Twitter page.

Looks like Eric Cantor is pulling the "look how big this bill is!" thing with that stack of papers piled in front of him.

Who are the staffers in the room?

Man, I really wish Obama would smack down that "This bill is long!" nonsense. He should grab a page of the bill and ask the C-Span cameras to zoom in on it so that the public can see the huge font, margins, and spacing as well as the legalese that bills are written in.
He should then say, "But so what if it's long! Working on the difficult issues facing our country is our job. If anyone here hasn't personally read the entire bill, you certainly have had enough time to have your staffers read it in sections. I've read all the Harry Potter books to my girls and altogether they're twice as long as this bill."

These repugs are a-holes.
Anyone who can't see that now is an idiot.

Lomillialor, I'm onboard with being disgusted with the performance of the Republican legislators over the last year, and I may even be convinced that they're "a-holes". On the other hand, I'm always commenting here when some troll posts about "Barry" or "Nobama" or whatever cute name they've dreamed up at the time. Calling them "repugs" doesn't help anything. It just encourages all the trolls that think dropping President Obama's middle name into whatever they're saying is both scandelous and a clear indication that his policies are incorrect.
A base line level of courtesy isn't the same as being nice to them, and I'm sure pointing out the numerous disengenous things that John Bohener says is sufficient to discredit him without a "clever" play on his name.

I hope it looks like the news anchor fight in Anchorman. Is it too much to hope that someone gets stabbed with a trident during the meeting?

Oh, and people need to pick up the discussion here! I'm stuck at work where I can't watch the summit and can't follow the Twitter feed because it's blocked.
Feed my addiction to know what's going on!

Why do I feel like Anthony Wiener now?

Anthony Weiner was awesome on The Daily Show a couple weeks ago.
