From what I understand, one of the provisions will apparently have a serious impact on the provision of funding for startups (see here: http://www.xconomy.com/boston/2010/03/23/dodd-bill-could-render-startups-too-small-to-succeed/
This seems like it's very tangential to the goals of the overall Finance Reform, and the provision of capital to startups is one of the few bright spots in the financial industry, as far as I can tell (investing in companies that make products rather than just repackaging financial instruments--what a novel idea!
Have you heard anything about this, and whether or not it's likely to remain a part of the bill?
