I've been really enjoying the National's new album, “High Violet.” So here they are playing my favorite song on the record, “Bloodbuzz, Ohio.”

Saw them at Royal Albert Hall a couple of weeks ago. I'd never heard them before, but a friend convinced us to go. Glad he did; they were pretty good.

Can't explain why, but I'm sick of seeing hipster band guitarists playing Jazzmasters. Not so bad, Wilco plus a few years. Sometimes I like happy music, and here's the happiest musician I've ever seen (he's got the green sleeves) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZbKoJfymTQ

Sometimes I watch this when I need a lift

bloodbuzz ohio is a good song, although I have to say that "afraid of everyone" is my favorite. it's hauntingly good.

Boring. I can visualize a bunch of progressives sitting around listening to this monotone while munching on tofu wings and drinking organic white wine. Maybe some will slip off for some politically correct sex.

spending one's time visualizing bunches of progressives sitting around doing anything is surely a symptom of some larger disorder.
