Reconciliation

Recap: Reid says a climate bill will need "broad bipartisan support" if he's going to bring it to the floor; the military acquitted itself well during the McChrystal affair; and it's worth remembering the 2001 airline bailout.

Elsewhere:

1) Barney Frank's military-spending panel recommends $1 trillion in cuts.

2) Chimpanzees are adorable, and their faces look a bit like ET.

3) I'll be on Rachel Maddow's show at 9 p.m., talking about the tax extenders bill that failed in the Senate today.

Recipe of the day: It's hard to believe you could improve on strawberry-rhubarb pie.

Yeah, Dems are right on track in their quest to weaken the United States. The US is evil and doesn't deserve to be so strong. It just isn't fair.

" It's hard to believe you could improve on strawberry-rhubarb pie"

well,
it could be, the fourth of july, with a happy picnic of people that you love, and other nice things to eat....children laughing. a lake very nearby, citronella candles..... everyone feeling happy....and fireworks, at the end of the day.
:-)
