The White House, by the way, is trying something interesting, "where in addition to the regular live stream of the event we’re gonna have an “enhanced” version that supplements the speech with charts/ photos/ stats side by side with the video in real time." If you're interested, you can find that here. Frankly, I don't think they're going far enough. I await the day when the president simply walks onto the floor of Congress and says, "The State of the Union is strong, as you can see in the accompanying graph."
