Homicide in Falls Church Area

The county police issued the following statement today:
The body of a woman was found in the Falls Church area. On Tuesday, September 27 around 9:50 a.m., a citizen contacted the police after finding a body in the 2700 block of Devonshire Gardens Court. Detectives on scene have confirmed that this is a homicide. The body appears to have sustained trauma to the upper body. The investigation is ongoing.
