Meeting Tomorrow Night on McLean Park

The county Park Authority has scheduled a public information meeting Sept. 27 to re-examine the master plan for Langley Fork Park in McLean.

The 54-acre park, located at 6250 Georgetown Pike (Route 193), is owned by the National Park Service but maintained and operated by the park authority.
A new master plan is required because the 25-year special use permit granted by the park service will expire in July 2006.
The meeting, which is the first of several in the planning process over the next six months, will be from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Langley High School cafeteria, 6520 Georgetown PikeÖ.
Comments will be accepted at the meeting or can be mailed to Andrea Dorlester, project manager, planning and development division, Fairfax County Park Authority, 12055 Government Center Pkwy., Suite 421, Fairfax, VA 22035. E-mail comments should be sent to parkmail@fairfaxcounty.gov.
